African Hornbill – Recycled Metal

African grey hornbills are widespread in sub-Saharan Africa and have a distinctive, curved bill. Our hornbills have been beautifully handmade in Zimbabwe from recycled metal and are very life-like.
They’re also huge! They’re about 50cm long and 26cm high. If you have any ex-pat friends who are homesick for Southern Africa, a hornbill would make a lovely present for them.

We spray our metal sculptures with clear gloss lacquer to prevent them from rusting so they can be placed outside. For information on maintaining your sculpture please see our FAQ page.
